A freshman at the University of California, Santa Cruz, Howard allegedly created an app called "Banana Plug," which was available on the Apple App Store alongside the motto, "We Have What You Want."

The investigation began in November when a university campus police officer noticed one of many posters hung on campus advertising an app called Banana Plug, prosecutors said.

Banana Plug could be downloaded from Apple’s online store and was advertised as a free game with the motto “We Have What You Want,” but users could place drug orders through the app, investigators said.

Investigators say the 18-year-old named the app Banana Plug and hung posters advertising it on the University of California, Santa Cruz campus.

Howard also hung posters around campus promoting “Banana Plug,” prosecutors said.
