The United States survived a scare from France to win an unprecedented eighth consecutive Olympic gold medal Sunday with a 67-66 victory at Bercy Arena.

With these metallic gold sneakers on, of course LeBron James wasn’t leaving Bercy Arena with anything less than an Olympic crown.

Fans have packed Bercy Arena during the basketball knockout stages with French fans playing drums, jumping to sounds of thumping techno music and unfurling banners that cover up whole sections.

But they turned up the heat and turned around the deficit to win 95-91 at a noisy Bercy Arena.
