"It started already in the early 1990s," says Christina Bu, the secretary general of the Norwegian EV Association, as she took me for a spin around Oslo in an electric minivan.

Ms Bu says there's "not really any reason why other countries can not copy Norway".

Since evacuating their home, the Silversteins and their German shepard Rain Bu have stayed at a friend’s place for a night and at hotels as they waited to learn about the condition of their home.

They’ve been moved by the outpouring of support from friends and family, including a woman who gave them a bag of dog toys for Rain Bu and friends who have offered them places to stay.

"Our study shows for the first time that those who use the emergency room more during pregnancy are more likely to be people of color whoare at significantly higher risk of experiencing a potentially life-altering morbidity event around the time of childbirth," says study senior author Dr. Pooja Mehta, adjunct assistant professor of obstetrics & gynecology at BU's Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and vice president of population health at Cityblock Health.
