“After 20 years of practice I can tell you I never saw that kind of scenario” unless the Russian government really wants that person back and is will to provide someone or something that the U.S. wants in exchange, said the attorney, Arkady Bukh.

Boiko's lawyer is Arkady Bukh who specialises in hackers extradited to the US.

"In these situations, there's no DNA to follow and rarely any video recordings. It's not an armed bank robbery," says Bukh.

Bukh hasn't yet received all the prosecution's documents in this case - at the moment he is trying to improve the Boiko's conditions in prison.
