Ms. Smartelli graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit, and holds a doctorate of chiropractic medicine from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, Mo., as well as a nursing degree from Excelsior College in Albany.

Dr. Michael Clark practiced chiropractic medicine out of his Charles Street office for nearly 30 years before he and his wife, Cheryl, chose to put their lives on hold and embark on a 500-mile walk that St. James took centuries ago to spread the word of the Last Supper.

After graduating from Oakwood Collegiate Institute in Toronto, he began studying chiropractic medicine at the University of Toronto but dropped out to become a performer.

By the late 1980s, both doctors of chiropractic medicine and doctors of veterinary medicine became able to take additional training to become certified in veterinary chiropractic.

Mrs. Mills was born Virginia Yvonne Davis in Haddam, Kan. She worked in chiropractic medicine before traveling with her husband on Army assignments in London and Japan and around the United States.
