The UK-based start-up has targeted one of the dirtiest parts of the apparel industry - dyeing fabric - with the world’s first digital dyeing process.

That means they are typically colored using traditional dyeing processes, which can use large amounts of water and release harsh chemicals into the environment.

Synthetic chemical dyeing is one of the most environmentally toxic processes in fashion, and black dyes -- especially those used in colouring leather -- are particularly harmful.

Matt Shea, the host of the documentary, uncovered how dyeing this random mixture of drugs pink is little more than marketing strategy concocted by cartels and described the substance as a “frankenstein drug.”
