State Assembly members have introduced a new bill to make public fire hydrants off limits to private fire crews in response to Caruso’s and other wealthy individuals recent use of private firefighters.

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power has fixed or replaced the vast majority of fire hydrants flagged for repairs in last year’s inspections after a long delay by the L.A.

The Los Angeles Fire Department did not inform the city’s Department of Water and Power until mid-February that more than 1,000 fire hydrants needed repairs, despite being aware of the issues months before.

The law firm is also expected to defend against claims about DWP’s fire hydrants running dry.

That would generate a strong enough flow to nearby fire hydrants to maintain pressure for hours, Terruzzin said.
