Located in Norris Geyser Basin in Yellowstone National Park, what is the world’s tallest active geyser, shooting water more than 300 feet in the air?

On Aug. 16, a park staffer in August found the body part in the Abyss Pool, a well-known hot spring in Yellowstone’s West Thumb Geyser Basin in northwestern Wyoming, the National Park Service said.

And on June 7, 2016, 23-year-old Colin Scott of Portland, Ore., walked off a boardwalk, slipped and fell into a hot spring at Norris Geyser Basin and died, officials said.

Park staff found Ro’s partial foot inside of a shoe in Abyss Pool in the park’s West Thumb Geyser Basin in August.

The most recent occurred in June 2016 when Colin Nathaniel Scott, 23, of Portland, Oregon, left a boardwalk in the Norris Geyser Basin, slipped on some gravel and fell into a boiling, acidic spring.
