Some 60% of the world's largest rainforest – the Amazon – falls within Brazil's borders, containing unique and charismatic critters such as the giant anteater, two-toed sloth, and poison dart frog.

Keepers at Dudley Zoo say a giant anteater pup is the first of its kind to be born at the venue in its 85-year history.

They labeled as "high" risk animals like white-tailed deer, the Chinese hamster, the beluga whale, the giant anteater and the muskrat.

Among them are 12 endangered species, including the jaguar, the marsh deer and the giant anteater.
