The last time the Gopher State voted for a Republican was when Richard Nixon was reelected in 1972.

In the Gopher State, an estimated 250 schools lit up their stadiums on Monday night and shared #BeTheLight photos to social media, Fox 9 reports.

So long and short, I joined the USS Gopher State and sailed to Saudi with them.

That doesn’t mean the next recession will bypass the Gopher State completely, but it should lessen its impact.
