Washington’s lineup in the varsity eight was stroke Max Heid, Archie Drummond in the No. 7 seat, Jonathan Wang-Norderud in No. 6, Giuseppe Bellomo in No. 5, Sam Ford in No. 4, Cameron Tasker in No. 3, Harry Fitzpatrick in No. 2, Marius Bjorn-Hansen Ahlsand in the bow and Nikita Jacobs as the coxswain.

Heid became the first Husky named top athlete since Ben Davison in 2019.

Heid was named to the all-conference team along with teammates Archie Drummond, Harry Fitzpatrick and Cameron Tasker.

For Washington senior rowers such as Max Heid from Seattle and Angharad Broughton from Wales, who were competing for the final time on the Cut, it meant even more.

Heid has been going to the Windemere Cup since he was a little boy and his experiences watching the event made him want to row for the Huskies.
