During a two-week trial, the prosecution said that Ruane believed conspiracy theories about a "hidden agenda" in the government's response to the coronavirus pandemic.

She said "whatever their hidden agenda is - to divide the people up - has backfired".

“So we don’t really have any hidden agenda. Overtaking the United States is not our goal,” he said.
