The 9/11 attacks saw hijackers crash passenger jets into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Washington DC, killing nearly 3,000 people.

Almost 3,000 people were killed in the 11 September 2001 attacks, when hijackers seized passenger planes and crashed them into the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon outside of Washington.

Campbell, the alleged hijacker, is expected to be charged and arraigned Monday.

The driver and a second passenger were treated by paramedics at the scene and released and the hijacker was arrested.

The series, which was released last week, begins with the hijackers making their way into the flight at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.
