The R&B and soul artist from Smethwick, near Birmingham, was soon put forward for a music programme which culminated in a performance at the iconic Koko concert venue in Camden, London.

Her date at London's Koko is sold out.

Kilpatrick acted in a lot of L.A. community theater and eventually wrote the “Koko” web series.

“One by one, the interviewees — Daniella Carter, Koko Da Doll, Liyah Mitchell and Dominique Silver — share candid stories of how they sustain themselves in a profession whose clients can quickly turn toward violence,” Teo Bugbee wrote in her review for The New York Times.

The danger they can face was made devastatingly evident when Koko Da Doll was fatally shot in April 2023, months before the documentary aired at Sundance.
