An explosion caused by methane gas at another coal mine in Marwar in May 2018 killed 20 workers.

They were among eight miners trapped about 1,000 feet underground when accumulating methane gas exploded at the coal field in Marwar in the province of Balochistan, the officials said.

Jodhpur was established as the capital of the desert kingdom of Marwar by the 15th century.

The wives were secreted away by Marwar nobles.

Officials say the blast in the Marwar coalfields in Baluchistan province was caused by a buildup of methane gas in the mine.
