I think that the more artistic quality that we brought to “Power” was really about helping the film be grounded in people's lived experience, as opposed to a journalistic experience which, by training has to sort of pick an objective point of view.

Mostly that shows an objective point of view, but I tried to draw a subjective point of view and emphasize the duality of looking at the story.

Would the story have been better told from an outside, more objective point of view?

I know a lot of poly/nonmonogamous people don’t like vetos or similiar limitations, but it is in my experience that one’s partner can be a positive influence, someone with a close but more objective point of view whose guidance can help you from going too far.
