The G9 orebody is nearing exhaustion and the mine will start treating the remaining ore bodies, which have lower overall grades than the G9 orebody.

The streaming agreement for the Campo Morado mine was expected to last for the life of the mine. However, there has been a continuous deterioration of ore grades at the G9 orebody, where Nyrstar has been conducting its mining operations.

Earlier, on a conference call to discuss the company's year-end financial results, Teck's general counsel Leonard Manuel said that if an appeal successfully stays one of the key permits, access to the new orebody -- called Aqqaluk -- could be delayed by as much as 18 months.
