His rival Posser da Costa, who also voted earlier on Sunday, told Sao Tome’s state press agency STP that he hoped the election would not marred by irregularities.

El Mirage Police Department officials say they arrested Susan Posser last week for making the call on Aug. 17.

Robert Peoples says the arrest was made Wednesday after an investigation showed the call came from Posser’s home.
