Although no-one in Lindsay Rimer's family knew it yet, their lives had changed forever.

On a rainy November night Lindsay Rimer walked the short route from her home to a local shop to buy breakfast cereal.

“Science took the lead,” even “in a highly political environment,” Rimer recalls.

Rimer also says Cohen was an excellent communicator during near-daily pandemic press conferences with Governor Roy Cooper.
