Central Command forces conducted a helicopter raid in northern Syria on Sept. 28 capturing Mamduh Ibrahim al-Haji Shaykh, an Islamic State facilitator, Central Command said on Saturday.

Shaykh Owaisi, a lecturer in South African Islamic history who has done extensive research on handwritten Qurans in Cape Town, believes Tuan Guru was motivated by the need to preserve Islam among Muslim prisoners and slaves in what was then a Dutch colony.

"He sat down and wrote down just about everything he could remember about his faith and he used that as a text for teaching others," says Shaykh Owaisi.

Shaykh Dr Umar Al-Qadri, the Islamic scholar and Chief Imam at the Islamic Centre of Ireland, delivered the eulogy at O'Connor's funeral.

"It humbles me greatly that the words that I coined for the brand - protest, visibility, unity and equality - will be on an actual coin, opposite the queen," Asad Shaykh, Director of Marketing and Communications at Pride in London said.
