Same with the state parks at Alta Lake near Pateros, Pearrygin Lake near Winthrop, and the ski hill at Sitzmark just outside of Tonasket.

It is hard to imagine two more eclectic or memorable ski hills than Loup Loup and Sitzmark.

Sitzmark, located in the northern part of the county just 20 minutes from both Oroville and Tonasket, is a step back in time.

Other outdoor activities include skiing or snowboarding at Sitzmark Ski Area or snowmobiling, snowshoeing and cross country skiing at the Highland Snow Park.

There will also be an arts and crafts fair, pinewood car derby, bingo, baked goods sale, raffles, fish coloring contest, and food provided by the Sitzmark Ski Area Volunteers from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
