Amesbury pleaded guilty in January to assaulting Paul Fellows, 45, following a row near a taxi rank in Frodsham in the early hours of 26 October.

Ms Storey said: "Mr Amesbury arrived at the same taxi rank. He too was alone and he too had been drinking."

The monument in the foreground of the video, the zebra crossing, the taxi rank and the distinctive gate were located in satellite images.

The defendants, who had been drinking in the city centre with another man, arrived at a taxi rank on Hanover Street at about 03:30 BST.

The campaigners allege that the small green space near Euston station will be built over with a temporary taxi rank, before being sold to developers, as part of plans for the high-speed railway.
