Photographer’s description: “Salmon swimming upstream to spawn and then die. There were many salmon fighting their way upstream and dead salmon on river banks. Photo taken from river bank with Sony a9 II and 200-600 mm lens and 2x teleconverter so not to hinder the salmon in its struggle upstream.”

To that end, he attached a 70-200mm telephoto lens mounted on a 1.4x teleconverter for a max equivalent focal distance of about 3,000mm.

It's a super-telephoto lens with a built-in 1.4x teleconverter, meaning that you can extend the focal length to 252-560mm, though you'll lose a stop of light and aperture in the process.

The company will also release its first teleconverter for the system in 2015.
