One of New Zealand’s biggest telecommunications companies has heeded an exhortation to use the country’s original, Indigenous name of Aotearoa, joining others that have pledged to use more reo, the ����ǰ��� language, or tikanga – protocols – in their daily business operations.

Other haka and tikanga ����ǰ��� cultural experts have echoed Wehi’s sentiments.

Numerous haka experts in New Zealand have attested that England’s move to confront the haka was in no way offensive to the All Blacks side, and did not violate ����ǰ��� cultural protocol, known as tikanga.

“We do follow our tikanga, our culture and values, for how the marae is run,” Ms. Ewe said.

Katarina Edmonds, a senior lecturer in Maori education at the University of Auckland, and one of three people who translated the film, said the team worked not only to find the exact equivalents of words in the Disney script, but also to remain true to the Maori language and tikanga, or cultural values.
