The ban means there are now five banned types of dog in Britain - pit bull terrier, Japanese Tosa, Doga Argentino and Fila Brasileiro, as well as XL bully.

So-called Section 1 dogs are banned in the UK under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, and also include the American pit bull terrier, Japanese tosa, Dogo Argentinos, and Fila Brazileiro.

There are now five banned types of dog in Britain - XL bully, pit bull terrier, Japanese Tosa, Doga Argentino and Fila Braziliero.

Others banned breeds are the XL bully, Japanese Tosa, the Dogo Argentino and the Fila Brazileiro.

The guidance is similar to that issued for the four breeds which have already been banned - the American pit bull terrier, the Japanese tosa, the Dogo Argentinos and the Fila Brazileiro.
