Police told local media outlets that Andres Trouch’s wife told officers that a group of men flagged them down as they were driving to buy food for Thanksgiving on Wednesday afternoon and asked for help.

Authorities say Trouch died outside the station.

Investigators say the wife said one of them men then pointed a gun at them, demanded money and shot Trouch.
