The free event comes ahead of the RM Sotheby's London to Brighton Veteran Car Run - the world's longest-running motoring event, according to organisers - on Sunday.

Several members of the Veteran Car Club of Great Britain recently paid a visit to Mr Garner's workshop.

The attractions included a ghost train and the veteran car ride that offered visitors a trip around a track in little vintage cars.

“As remarkable as it may seem, there has not been a car show of this caliber in the city of Detroit, ever,” said Richard Vaughan, a veteran car designer who sits on the advisory team for the event, which took place on Sept. 18.

Then, the crew tries to answer why both startups and veteran car makers alike struggle to build a reliable EV.
