At first glance there was nothing suspicious about the group of workmen digging up the high street outside a former clothes shop.

They operated in plain sight between November 2020 and February 2024, posing as legitimate workmen with liveried vans, barriers and signage.

“Floor Scrapers,” a personal favorite, assumes an intimate vantage point of looking down toward the workmen’s vigorous labor, which results in a floor that appears vertiginously tilted up.

According to the newspaper, school children were lining the route and workmen "lifted their caps and touched their forelocks in salute" as the president drove by.

"I immediately thought of a sci-fi movie where it looked like a troop formation about to attack," Simon Eriksson, a workman from Malmo, told the Swedish state broadcaster.
